The Story Behind A Mission To Save The World

Heroes are not born, they are made. They are crafted through a deep desire for justice, and the hope for a better future. They are just ordinary people who make extraordinary choices.

Fear is always present, but it is easily overpowered by the hunger they feel. They are driven by their desire, and sometimes even by their anger.

They get what I like to call "Passionately Pissed Off".

I spent the first 37 years of my life chasing my tail in a state of complete confusion. I knew there had to be a purpose out there for me, but I had no idea where to find it.

This was even more annoying in my business. We were 7 years in, and the best USP I could come up with was that "...we do a good job."

Which is true, but it's also exactly what everybody else says.

Plus, we were selling the same product as everybody else, which meant that it was always a price war and a race to the bottom. Whoever was willing to eat ramen noodles that month would get the job.

I'm sure you can relate to this, because most people can. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to tread water in a shark infested waters. All you're doing is flailing around trying to not get eaten. But you know it's inevitable.

Even if you get eaten last, you still die.

And as bad as getting eaten by a shark would be in real life, it's even worse in business.

If you get eaten by a shark and die in real life, at least you're dead. But if your business dies, you have to grieve and mourn your business for the rest of your life. Usually in a constant state of sadness and self-loathing.

Because you lost...

The majority of businesses fail, and it's not due to the reasons that you probably think. The main reason that most businesses die, is because they fail to get anybody to actually care about them.

If nobody cares about your business, your business will die.

You want to make money???

Congratulations!!! You're exactly like every other person on the planet. So why would I care about you? I want to do business with people who actually matter.

This is where social impact entrepreneurship changes your life. It instantly gives you a story to tell, and turns you into somebody who matters.

In a blink of an eye, you're pulled out of the red ocean and dropped into a tranquil lagoon without a predator in sight. Then you can feed until you're fat and happy.

You'll be living large as the king or queen of your beautiful little blue ocean, and your kingdom will quickly fill up with loyal subjects who will defend you to the death.

Give us a reason to care, and we will show you an empire waiting to be built.

I'll give you the example of my own company...

Prior to discovering social impact, a cold-call went something like this, "Hi John, this is Brandon from Datamax installations. We provide and install network infrastructure, things like voice and data cabling, fiber optics, wireless systems, etc. I was just wondering if we could be your go-to company for that sort of thing?"

Then the reply would be something like...

"We've already got a guy... thanks anyways."

CLICK.

Those calls are the fastest way to start hating your life. After a hundred of those I didn't know whether to cry, throw up, or find the nearest bridge.

But I want you to compare that with what happens now, since we've become a social impact enterprise...

"Hey John! Brandon from The Datamax Worldwide Project... how you doin'?

Listen John, here at Datamax we're on a mission to eliminate poverty by accelerating technology into developing countries. We're trying to help some of the most desperate people on the planet.

Now I was hoping that we might be able to partner together on this. I don't want any of your money, I just want 5 minutes of your time so that we can have a conversation.

I know you might be busy right this second, so how about I call you back tomorrow at 10am and we have a little chat?"

Boom!!! I just caught me a little fish... hook, line, and sinker.

Because I have a story worth caring about. It's a story that I actually care about. And because I care so much about it, I'm going to be much more influential with every single prospect that I talk to.

Social impact gives you a reason to exist, and it gives you a purpose bigger than yourself. It also gives me a reason to care about you.

When people are trying to make my world a better place, I care about them. And when I care about them, I want to help them.

This is why I created The Entrepreneur Superpack. I want to create an army of people who are on a mission to make my world a better place.

I know that being an entrepreneur is a tough and lonely battle. The people closest to you see you as an alien, and nobody ever seems to understand or care about anything that you're going through.

The truth is, they can't understand it, because you're a different breed.

As Steve Jobs said, you "Think Different."

Most entrepreneurs desperately need coaching, accountability, mentorship, and a support system. They need a tribe of people who think like they do.

Robin Williams probably said it the best. He said that...

"The loneliest thing in the world, isn't being alone. It's being around a whole bunch of people who just don't understand you."

The only person that can understand an entrepreneur is another entrepreneur.

That's why I created The Entrepreneur Superpack.

For people like us.

People who want to go out and change the world.

I sincerely hope that you become a part of our mission and a part of our tribe.

With Much Love...
From One Force Of Nature To Another,

Brandon Boswell
